Air Lofts

Spacious architectural sculpture with loft character.

Spacious architecture that at the same time conveys lightness comes together at a historic site in Berlin-Adlershof, in a new building that carries the industrial architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries over into the modern age. Spread over five floors, the new 4,200-square-meter office habitats are tailor-made for anchor tenant Emarsys. Broad and transparent spaces alternate with separate zones, while communication areas invite exchange and recreation. The building captivates with its loft-like character, while the urban robustness of fired clinker bricks is transformed into an unexpected lightness. The façade is transparent, the rooms flooded with light. The architecture allows for open-space working environments as well as combi-offices and group or cubical offices. Each floor can be divided into two leasing units. Inspiration for the outdoor facilities came from Japanese Zen gardens.

“The brief: to create a prestigious building for anchor tenant Emarsys and the other users, which would inspire employees and visitors alike. Together with the team of the Vollack Group, an exceptionally convincing solution was created. A terrific project! A single source, from the first stroke to construction.”
