The new ARBACHPARK district is currently being developed in Pfullingen on a site covering around eight hectares. In the first phase of construction, Vollack realized four five-story residential buildings with approximately 8,400 square meters of living space. Sustainable Energy through Geothermal Power.
Geothermal energy forms the backbone of the development’s sustainable energy concept, providing both heating and cooling for the residential buildings. An energy center located in the basement distributes energy efficiently throughout the complex. To harness this renewable resource, geothermal boreholes were drilled to depths of up to 200 meters.
Unlike many other renewable energy sources, geothermal energy is available around the clock and largely unaffected by weather conditions. Together with rooftop photovoltaic systems, it allows the buildings to achieve carbon-neutral operation.
