of energy performance and efficiency.
The goal was to comprehensively enhance the building's performance while creating a modern, customer-focused, and user-oriented work environment. This objective was achieved through the revitalization of the main building of Stadtwerke Karlsruhe.
Today, the administrative building dating back to the 1970s provides approximately 15,000 square meters of space for around 530 flexible workstations, as well as a new customer area, a conference hall, and a staff restaurant.
Collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO).
Various subprojects were coordinated and successfully brought together into one cohesive whole. The Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) contributed to the development of high-performing work environments, while the change management process involved employees at an early stage. SCOPE Architects were responsible for the workplace concept and the planning of the construction project. The German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) awarded the building its Gold certification.
As project manager, Vollack helped us define our strategic objectives and turn the plans into reality. Today, we work in a forward-looking building that was redesigned on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.
