A working environment with feel-good atmosphere.
Vollack has built a two- and three-storey, highly efficient office building with a gross floor area of 1,750 square meters for intralogistics specialist TUP, which is connected to the certified office passive house built by Vollack in 2016 by a connecting structure. The new building was constructed in accordance with the BEG-40 standard, which places high demands on energy efficiency. Once again, an ice latent heat storage system was used to ensure that the building is virtually energy self-sufficient and independent of the existing building in terms of energy.
The modern working environment offers 80 additional employees office space, meeting and project rooms, technical areas and several kitchenettes, which also serve as communication and meeting points in addition to catering for the physical well-being of the workforce.
A harmonious unit.
The design concept from the first construction phase was consistently continued. The interplay of gray plaster and white curtain wall cladding is repeated on the outer skin of the building. Inside, walls made of exposed concrete with seamlessly installed wooden windows and green acoustic modules set accents. Cubic functional units for archive, technical and service rooms break up the office structure. A high, spacious room with an internal steel bridge, which can be accessed from the second floor, forms the transition between the existing and new building.
Space for creativity.
TUP began working with Vollack back in 2016. With the new TUP campus certified as a passive house, the employees and specialists for warehouse management solutions not only moved into a building with exceptional energy efficiency, but also a modern working environment.
Vollack has used the seasonal ice latent heat storage system here for the first time. It is an intelligent storage medium for heat and cold and makes the building virtually energy self-sufficient.
Reference project for passive construction.
The TUP campus has become a reference project for passive construction and attracts experts from Germany and abroad. On a usable area of 3,600 square meters, walls made of exposed concrete with seamlessly installed wooden windows and green-colored acoustic modules set accents. Functional cubes for archive, technical and service rooms break up the structure of the individual offices, while a centrally planned cafeteria forms the communicative heart of the building.
We are proud to have created a particularly environmentally friendly working environment that has the future in mind. This building is not just an office complex, it is our creative workplace - and will be for generations to come.
