In Schorndorf, electrical wholesale distributor Emil Löffelhardt moved into one of Germany's most advanced fully automated logistics centers on the former Bauknecht site, significantly expanding its operational space. Halls 2 and 3 were comprehensively modernized and revitalized across approximately 24,500 square meters. In addition, a new building with an area of 9,700 square meters was constructed.
Clearly structured logistics.
The 27-meter-high high-bay warehouse is a striking feature visible from afar. Eight storage and retrieval machines, each weighing around eleven metric tons, operate within the facility. The logistics center is further complemented by a shuttle warehouse with 95,000 storage bins for standard inventory and a tray warehouse with 1,700 tray positions for items up to three meters in length.
Modern work environments with an integrated energy concept.
Modern workplaces in logistics and administration provide a high level of comfort for more than 300 employees and foster creativity. A training center further enhances the site. The photovoltaic system, covering more than 4,000 square meters on the roof of former Hall 2, generates enough electricity to enable the company to supply itself with most of its energy needs.
