Mass timber construction and an integrated energy concept.
For Solarparc, Vollack designed and built an office building in mass timber construction with an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. The building was realized to the KfW 55 standard. Its clear architectural language gives the structure a light and distinctive appearance despite its size.
Photovoltaics, heat pumps, and intelligent building technology.
An air-to-water heat pump uses ambient air as a heat source for the building. During the summer months, the spaces are cooled through a recirculating air system. The air-conditioning systems are powered by solar energy. Two photovoltaic systems installed on the roofs and carports generate a large share of the building's electricity demand and also supply power to ten electric vehicle charging stations.
Corporate philosophy brought to life.
Surplus solar power is fed into the local utility grid. Solarparc uses the second floor as its new corporate headquarters, while the ground floor and first floor are available for tenants. The new Solarparc headquarters has been recognized for its outstanding carbon footprint performance. Sustainability, environmental responsibility, and energy efficiency are core values of Solarparc's corporate philosophy.
