Custom-fitted.
Traditional and energy-efficient baking.
For the family-owned business Bäckerei Pass, known in the Dusseldorf area since 1962 for its top-quality artisanal baked goods, Vollack constructed a two-story new building with approximately 1,100 square meters of gross floor area, which is directly adjacent to the existing structure. One challenge was the limited available space, which was utilized optimally. The ground floor, designed as a solid-construction building, provides space for deliveries, bread roll production, a pastry shop, and cold storage rooms. On the upper floor, which was constructed using a classic, lightweight hall structure - thereby saving resources and energy - office, break, and training rooms were created.
Construction during ongoing operations.
The new building has already optimized existing production processes. The interior fit-out, carried out using lean methods, ensured an efficient, accelerated, and high-quality implementation.
Save energy and reduce costs.
The building meets the KfW Energy Standard 55, meaning it requires only 55 percent of the energy used by a conventional new building. Part of the building’s technical infrastructure is a heat recovery system that ensures production heat is not lost but can be utilized as efficiently as possible. This reduces energy costs and CO2 emissions. A photovoltaic system on the roof covers about 15 percent of the electricity demand.

We intend to continue playing an active role in shaping this growing market and offering our customers a wide range of high-quality baked goods. By expanding our existing headquarters in Düsseldorf, we are driving our production forward in a pioneering way while remaining close to our loyal customer base.“
