Environmental Decisions.
The new working environment of GfA in Düsseldorf comprises an office building for research and development and an assembly hall. The expert for industrial doors has planned for the sales, product management, construction, service, prototyping and administration departments to cover an area of 5,400 square meters.
The office building is characterized by split-level construction and staggered floors and offers bright rooms and short distances. The attractive working environment promotes concentrated work and internal communication.
One of the largest certified commercial
passive houses in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The R&D hall offers space for a large workshop, electronic test laboratories and flexible and scalable test areas. The production facility houses three new assembly lines. A solar system covers a quarter of the total energy requirement. Several e-charging points in the underground parking garage and two customer car parks with e-charging points round off the energy-saving features of the ensemble.
Awarded.
GfA Elektromaten was pleased to receive an award at the Düsseldorf Environmental Award 2019, which has been presented every year since 1979 under the motto "Making climate - for today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow". With this award, the city honors projects that have already been implemented and special commitment in the area of climate protection and climate adaptation.
We are aware of our ecological responsibility and have therefore decided have our new building certified as ‘passive’. This requires an experienced partner. With Vollack, we had already completed two construction projects and so we could be sure about the successful completion of this project.”
