The CO2 Future Campus: Climate protection made in Berlin-Marzahn.

Vollack is planning and implementing one of Europe's largest demonstration plants for CO2 removal from the atmosphere for the climate technology start-up Ucaeno Biotech on the B.I.G. campus in the CleanTech Marzahn industrial park. The decision to partner with Vollack was based on its expertise and experience in planning and implementing buildings that meet the highest regulatory requirements and are tailored to the client's individual processes.

The plant, with an annual capacity of around 150 tons of CO2 is scheduled to go into operation as early as the beginning of 2026, paving the way for the first large-scale commercial plant, which is to follow in 2028. The site will also serve as a meeting place for science, business, politics, and the public.

The new building demonstrates the enormous potential of Marzahn and Berlin as a whole as a location for key green technologies.
