Innovative technical center.
Clearly defined and innovative.
In Kassel, Vollack planned and realized a new technical center with 3,000 square meters of floor space for WEGU. Clearly defined , the building is divided into two sections. A three-story building section accommodates the functional areas of testing, quality management, project management and development and creates a link to the existing building opposite.
High quality of work.
Balconies in front of the office workplaces create a particularly high quality of work and, supplemented by horizontal slats, structure the façade. A two-story building section dovetails functionally with the higher area and provides space for production, storage and building services.
Technically sophisticated.
A high degree of automation and high-quality process technology characterize the new building. Large glass surfaces provide plenty of light and transparency as well as views in and out. The clear and efficient functional structure as well as the technoid character of the building underline the effect of the Kassel location as an innovation promoter and know-how carrier.
From the very first meeting, we found the collaboration to be constructive, characterized by mutual appreciation. As a team, we recognized potential for change in the project on both sides and implemented it quickly. Originally planned as a separate production building, we decided in the planning phase to build the technical center as an inserted structure. We would implement such a project with Vollack again at any time.
